Kerafast Supports BSCP’s Evening of Hope – You’re Invited!
The Biomedical Science Careers Program will livestream their virtual Evening of Hope Event on Monday October 5, 2020 at 7:00 EST. The mission of the BSCP is “to provide students of every race, ethnic background, gender and financial status with encouragement, support and guidance needed for the successful pursuit of biomedical science and other science-related careers”. The program was launched in 1991 and since then over 13,000 students have participated in the program as well as more than one thousand postdoctoral trainees and junior faculty. The program has supported participants from 391 institutions across the United States, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico as well as from countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Belgium and Australia.
This year the Evening of Hope Event will be honoring Boston’s Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Jill & Niraj Shah of the Shah Family Foundation for their commitment and support of science education. The event is chaired by the Executive Chairman and President & Chief Executive Officer of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, our neighbor in Boston’s innovative Seaport District. Kerafast is proud to be a sponsor of this important event, as giving back to our local and global scientific communities is a valued part of our company mission.
We encourage you to join the evening’s program via this RSVP. There is no cost to participate; however, donations to the BSCP are certainly encouraged! Click the link any time after 6:50 PM on Monday to participate.
