At Kerafast, our mission is to advance life science research by facilitating access to unique laboratory-made reagents. In 2015, we continued our rapid growth, adding new institutions, investigators and research tools to our global community while reinvesting a portion of our proceeds back into research.
To keep our community updated on this progress, we developed an annual overview summarizing the state of the Kerafast program at the end of 2015. Highlights from the overview include:
- Our providing investigator community, which comes from 128 prominent research institutions, grew 165% from 2013 to 2015.
- More than 70% of our reagents are unique to our catalog and cannot be found elsewhere. The overview breaks down this portfolio by both research area and product type.
- In 2015, we launched the Kerafast fellowship program, which provides scientists with real-life experience in technology commercialization. To learn more about the program, check out our interview with Dr. Anthony Franchini, the University of Rochester fellow.
