A Summer Addition to Our Product Management Team

As you may have seen, we recently welcomed two summer interns to the Kerafast office. We’re excited to introduce a third intern to the team, Wendy Ma.

Wendy is a rising junior at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, pursuing a major in biology. This summer she is serving as Kerafast’s product management intern. She’ll be helping make new reagents available to the Kerafast community by collecting technical details about the products, recording their essential characteristics, and adding the new materials and supporting documentation to the Kerafast website. She will also assist in managing product inventory to ensure scientists continue to have rapid access to reagents they need for their research.

Wendy wanted to intern at Kerafast because our mission resonated with her. “I want to help foster a global community of scientists advancing life science research,” she said, “by applying my knowledge in biology and experience with research to best help Kerafast customers with their research.”

Outside of school and work, Wendy enjoys ballroom dancing, as well as travelling and learning about new cultures. She is also the Production and Layout Editor of The Wellesley Globalist magazine, helps fundraise for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and participates in the AIDS Walk.

After graduation, Wendy hopes to pursue either a MD or PhD in molecular medicine and human diseases. For now, though, she is excited to be at Kerafast.

“This summer, I hope to learn more about the business side of things, such as new product sourcing and commercialization processes,” she said. “Additionally, I am looking forward to learning how to facilitate a good relationship between a company such as Kerafast and its client scientists. Finally, I am excited to be exposed to the variety of new breakthroughs in science globally.”
